Blow bought the designer’s entire 1992 Central Saint Martins graduate collection, and also convinced the designer, known on his birth certificate as “Lee,” to use his middle name, “Alexander,” professionally.
Maven Pictures is developing fashion drama “The Ripper” about the tumultuous relationship between designer Alexander McQueen and editor Isabella Blow, Variety has learned. Gesha-Marie Bland has written the script for “The Ripper.” Senior VP Hardy Justice found the screenplay for Maven.
