For some reason my dolby digital 5.1 sound stopped working in this format. The receiver digital connection is working fine, tested with another PS3.
Aug 04, 2015 · Upon doing so my 5.1 surround sound home theater system is no longer working. It is a Samsung CT-5550 Home Theater System. I am using an Optical cable from my Home Theater system into the back of the motherboard.

Since updating it I could not get the 7.1 surround sound to work on the PC. When I test it in the Logitech Gaming Software it works but when I check the Sound Settings for my computer it only shows the Left and Right sound available.

If indeed that’s the case, I’d check the audio settings on the TV set to make sure that they’re set properly, and then check them on all devices that feed the TV as well. Cannot Add Surround Sound
Hi there, I have a LG DH6420P 5.1 Surround system and I am trying to correctly get the full 5.1 working with my PC. I am running Windows 10 and I have the latest Realtek drivers.

To access Dolby Digital/DTS surround sound, you need to have either HDMI, Digital Optical, Digital Coaxial, or 5.1 channel analog connection going from the source component to the Home Theater Receiver. Only these connections are able to transfer a Dolby Digital or DTS-encoded soundtrack.
In the Surround Sound Mixer window, click the Power icon to turn on Surround. Surround Sound should now be enabled and working. You can toggle between Dolby and DTS on our new Logitech G633 and G933 Artemis Spectrum headsets.
